ELKENHOF

A BRIEF HISTORY

Nestled in a serene and tranquil environment, this stable stands as more than just a place of care; it is a sanctuary—imbued with history and positive energy. For years, it has served as a home to some of the most renowned horses in the world, including the legendary Cumano, the trusted companion of Olympic gold medalist Jos Lansink.

Cumano, once injured, found solace and healing within these walls. Thanks to the exceptional care provided here, he made a remarkable recovery and went on to claim victory at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen in 2006. Over the years, many of Jos Lansink’s horses have benefited from the rejuvenating atmosphere of this stable, each of them achieving remarkable success in their careers.

This is no ordinary stable. It is a place where healing is paramount, and its legacy speaks for itself: no horse has ever passed away here. Every equine resident has emerged stronger, healthier, and with renewed vigor, often going on to excel in their disciplines.

The domain, stretching across nearly 10 hectares, exudes an undeniable sense of calm and harmony. The moment you step onto the grounds, you can feel the positive energy right away—a peacefulness that envelops the horses. It's a space where animals thrive, where they feel at ease, and where the bond between horse and handler is nurtured to its fullest potential.

A place where healing and success are not just aspirations, but a reality.
